Frequently Asked Questions About The Kansan

Tagged in
Is The Kansas City Kansan in print?
- No, The Kansan is an online news and community site. The former corporate owners of The Kansan made the decision to switch to an online only publication in January 2009.
Who owns The Kansan now?
- The Kansan is independently owned by me, the first time The Kansan's been owned by a Wyandotte County interest in years. Here's a biography on me here.
Can archives be found of the old paper Kansan?
- Yes, area libraries have archives available for research on projection film. Contact the libraries just to be sure before you go there. I personally do not have copies available.
Are you the only full-time staff member?
- Yes...for now. It's why I don't make every single event in Wyandotte, although I do try.
We're interested in advertising. Where can we look?
- Visit this link. Updated traffic information is available there. I'll be glad to email you a media kit.
Does The Kansan have an official office?
- No. The entire county is in my office. If WiFi is available, you'll most likely see me there. The Kansan is hoping to establish a downtown office at some point in the future.
Can we submit our own news and photos?
- Yes. Please do. It would help promote your own event and would allow readers an opportunity to see more of Wyandotte County.
Are classified ads for free?
- Yes. The Kansan isn't afraid of new threats like Craigslist. If you have something to sell, please do it. The ads are free and can run as long as you want. All you have to do to submit your own classified ad is register to the Web site, which is also free.
Can we donate to The Kansan?
- Donations are accepted. You can do it through PayPal. If you would rather not do it through PayPal, email me at nicks@kansascitykansan.com or NJSloan212@gmail.com and I'll provide you a home address.
