Here is the latest from the National Weather Service on today's winter storm. Above is a precipitation forecast map from The Weather Channel.
This Afternoon: Snow, freezing rain, and sleet. High near 33. East wind between 7 and 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Tonight: Snow before midnight, then snow likely and widespread blowing snow after midnight. Low around 13. Wind chill values between -7 and 3. Blustery, with a north northwest wind 9 to 12 mph increasing to between 23 and 26 mph. Winds could gust as high as 36 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
Wednesday: Areas of blowing snow before noon. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny and cold, with a high near 15. Wind chill values between -1 and -8. Blustery, with a west northwest wind between 16 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 4. Wind chill values between -4 and -9. West wind between 9 and 16 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.
