COURT BEAT: KCK man sentenced to 30 years in methamphetamine trafficking

A Kansas City, Kan., man has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for drug trafficking.
Carlos Beltran-Aguilar, 22, was sentenced on one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine, one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, and one count of maintaining a residence at 1118 N. 50th Street in KCK for the sole purpose of drug trafficking.
The home was searched earlier this year and $18,000 in cash, a 9 mm handgun and methamphetamine resources were found.
Beltran-Aguilar and co-defendant Jose Torres-Garcia were picked up near Mound City, where police discovered two pounds of the drug concealed in a box of detergent.
