The Metropolitan Chiefs and Sheriffs Association recently honored a handful of Kansas City, Kan., Police Officers for actions that were "above and beyond the call for duty" during 2008.

Eight officers received bronze awards, while two more received silver awards.

Bronze Award winners: Off. Eric Jones, Off. Pamela Bennett, Off. Shane Wright, Off. Nathan Doleshal, Off. Dylan Passinese, Off. Eric Ibanez, Sgt. Ramiro Moran and Det. William Michael.

Silver Award winners: Off. Lionel Womack and Off. Miguel Pena.

The officers were honored at an awards banquet Nov. 20.
