Here is the latest two-day forecast for Wyandotte County. A winter storm warning remains in effect.
Both snow and sleet accumulations are expected across Kansas City, Kan., this afternoon.
Today: Snow before noon, then snow and sleet. High near 34. East wind between 6 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
Tonight: Snow before midnight, then snow likely and widespread blowing snow after midnight. Low around 13. Wind chill values between -5 and 5. Blustery, with a east wind 6 to 9 mph becoming west northwest between 20 and 23 mph. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
Wednesday: Areas of blowing snow before noon. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 16. Wind chill values between -6 and zero. Blustery, with a west northwest wind between 16 and 23 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 5. Wind chill values between -2 and -7. West wind between 8 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.
