Man injured in fire

A 26-year-old man suffered second and third degree burns in a Saturday morning fire.
Kansas City, Kan., firefighters responded to a structure fire caused by a repair of a vehicle on the 1400 Block of Minnesota.
"Fire crews on scene within four minutes found burn victim on exterior of structure gave immediate aid to victim," said Craig Duke, spokesperson for the Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department. "Fire inside of building was extinguished quickly by other personnel on scene. Victim had been working on repair of vehicle fuel tank when fire started."
The victim was transported to a local hospital. The fire caused $100 in damage and no one else was injured.
