No winter weather watch yet
Wyandotte County is just on the edge of a winter weather watch as of Monday morning.
While today's weather should be safe for the most part, the area could see 2-4 inches of snow by tomorrow night.
The full forecast from the National Weather Service:
Today: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 31. North northwest wind between 8 and 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Tonight: Snow likely, mainly after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 24. North wind 7 to 11 mph becoming east. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Tuesday: Snow before noon, then periods of rain, snow, and sleet. High near 35. East southeast wind between 11 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow and sleet accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
Tuesday Night: Snow and areas of blowing snow. Low around 15. Wind chill values between -1 and 9. Blustery, with a north northwest wind 10 to 13 mph increasing to between 21 and 24 mph. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
