Three-year-old injured in Wyandotte County crash

A Sunday morning crash resulted in an injury to a three-year-old.
An accident involving just a single vehicle, it occurred on Interstate 635 going Northbound at 10 a.m. Sunday morning.
Tashema Bradford of Kansas City, Kan., lost control of her vehicle during an effort to make a lane change. The vehicle struck the barrier wall.
Treshawn Patterson, 3, was injured and sent to Children's Mercy Hospital. He was not in a child-seat or was not properly restrained by the driver. A second young child – one-year-old Toyan Patterson – was also in the vehicle.
However, he was not injured in the crash. Bradford was unharmed as well, as she was wearing her seatbelt.

I hope the mother was ticketed for not having her child or children restrained properly, and not 10.00. I do hope the injured child recovers quicky. It breaks my heart when this happens, and the parents know to restrain their children. This was an injury to a child that should have never happened.
