Two KCK firefighters injured in Saturday morning fire

Two members of the Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department were injured in a fire Saturday morning.
Kansas City, Kan., firefighters responded to a fire at 2238 S. Mill just before 2 a.m. on Saturday morning. An unintentional fire, two firefighters suffered minor injuries.
"The first fire company was on scene within four minutes reported fully involved structure, exposures on either side of fire building," said Craig Duke, spokesperson for the department. "Structure determined to be vacant two-story wood frame. BPU called for downed power lines in yard. The fire was fought defensive mode only."
Overall, the fire caused about $50,000 in damage. Twenty-five firefighters responded to the incident.
