FIRE BEAT: KCKFD responds to Friday gas leak
Kansas City, Kan., firefighters responded to a natural gas leak Friday afternoon at 1709 N. 98th Street.
No one was injured at the scene.
"Crews responded to natural gas line leak," said Craig Duke, spokesperson for the department. "Crews were on scene with Gas Company reported leak from eight inch gas line. Gas company personnel on scene requested crews for standby during repair."
Four members of the department responded to the leak, which was reported Friday afternoon.

Possible gas leak on 80th Place
Both the fire department and police department were called just after 3 p.m. concerning a "gas smell" coming from 724 N. 80th Place.
Per a police scanner respondent, there may have been forced entry to the home. Multiple calls were made by area residents surrounding the home.
