Kansas City, KS
The Gilyeat for Congress Campaign is pleased to announce that SSgt. Daniel Gilyeat, USMC (Ret) who is running in the Kansas 3rd District Congressional race has been endorsed by the Combat Veterans for Congress which puts him in the company of some of this nation's strongest Republican Leadership such as Arizona Senator John McCain Capt-USN, California Congressman Duncan D. Hunter, Capt. USMCR, New Mexico Congressman Steve Pearce Capt. USAF, and Colorado Congressman Michael Coffman, Maj. USMC.
"I am humbled and honored to be included in such group of leaders" SSgt. Dan Gilyeat said upon receiving the news.
SSgt Gilyeat along with a new brand of fiscally conservative leaders such as Connecticut State Senator Rob Simmons, Col. USAR/CIA; GSgt Nick Popaditch, USMC (Ret) running in California-51; and Col Alan West USA (Ret) in Florida-22 are going to change the face of the House and Senate along with 20 other endorsed former Military leaders.
The Mission Statement for Combat Veterans for Congress says that this group supports candidates who believe in limited government, want to rein in out of control spending by Congress and are committed to preserving and defending the US Constitution and will support the independence and freedom of the individual as outlined in the Bill of Rights.
This group as well as SSgt. Gilyeat are dedicated to promoting The Free Market Enterprise system which has created the greatest economic engine in the history of mankind, which has provided for a strong defense. The group endorses the teaching of history and the Founding Fathers' core values in education.
Combat Veterans for Congress PAC has been endorsed by former Gov. Sarah Palin in her unfailing support of Americas' Military. SSgt Gilyeat has previously been endorsed by other Military groups, Iraq Vets for Congress and V4A, Veterans for a Strong America. Gilyeat was the first candidate in Kansas' 3rd District to announce a run against Congressman Dennis Moore in February, 2009. His favorite quote about himself is, "I can't be bought, bullied or persuaded to do anything that betrays my values or the US Constitution.
